A little bit of history

117 is a Dennis Dart with a 35 seat Alexander Dash body which was new to Lothian in 1991. It is powered by a Cummins 6BT engine coupled to a Allison AT545 gearbox.

It passed to the MacTours fleet in 2003 where it initially wore an all-over blue livery for operation on the Standard Life shuttle service between the West End and Canonmills. Renumbered 194 in 2004, it was then repainted in to yellow Standard Life livery and continued to be seen on, what eventually became, Service 61.

It operated until 2008, following which it became part of the heritage fleet and was repainted in to its current LRT Lothian livery.
